On Sunday, August 18, Minnesota successfully migrated from Verizon’s Managed Services to AAMVA’s new Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) solution managed by AT&T/Fujitsu. They are now the fourth jurisdiction on the new solution, joining Delaware, South Dakota, and Louisiana. The new solution improves redundancy and reliability by replacing the single CISCO Edge router with two Aruba SD-WAN appliances in a high-availability configuration. It also allows jurisdictions to diversify the type of circuits and network providers to remove the current single-vendor dependency. We encourage all jurisdictions with any further inquiries or interested in accelerating their migration schedules to contact their respective Network Account Managers or contact us.
