Marcy Coleman is the Manager of Vehicle Programs with the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators. Marcy joined AAMVA in 2022 and previously worked for sixteen years at the Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles where she served as the Assistant Administrator for Safety and Regulation overseeing commercial licensing, IRP, driver adjudication, and a statewide safety and emissions program. Prior to serving in that capacity, Marcy was Legal Counsel for the RIDMV managing legislation, court appeals and regulatory compliance.
As a jurisdiction member, Marcy served on numerous working groups and subcommittees. Most recently, she was a member of the Automated Vehicles Subcommittee and was the Legal Services Representative to the Law Enforcement Standing Committee.
Marcy has a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law.
