Our Jurisdiction to Jurisdiction Learning Visits program provides funding for jurisdictions to visit one another to learn about programs, processes, and technologies that are best understood through on-site visits. To be eligible, the applicant must be a member in good standing and be from a jurisdictional driver licensing, motor vehicle, or law enforcement agency that is responsible for paying AAMVA dues. The program is an expense reimbursement. The recipient agency should be prepared to pay for all expenses related to the trip and submit the expense report to AAMVA for reimbursement. After completing the visit, the agency is required to send AAMVA a post-visit lessons learned report.

To make assistance available to as many members as possible, please attempt to capture actual anticipated costs and not overestimate. Please provide ALL requested information by filling in the appropriate boxes. Please plan for your trip at least 3 weeks from the date you submit the form to allow us time for processing and approvals.

Funding criteria:

• Applicant must be from a jurisdiction driver licensing, motor vehicle, or law enforcement agency that is responsible for paying AAMVA dues
• To be eligible, member must be in good standing (must be current on all dues and fees)
• This program is an expense reimbursement grant. The recipient agency should be prepared to pay for all expenses related to the trip and will submit a single package of expense reports with accompanying documentation to AAMVA so that AAMVA can reimburse the agency. More details on this process will be provided upon issuance of the grant.
• The recipient agrees to submit to AAMVA, within 45 days of the trip, a post-visit lessons learned report using the Jurisdiction to Jurisdiction Learning Visit Final Report (which will be provided upon issuance of the grant).
