In this session you will hear about the work happening in the driver program area and then participate in an open and lively discussion on issues of interest to the driver community.

Law Enforcement Town Hall    

Following an overview of AAMVA's Law Enforcement Services Program activities, engage in an open discussion on the challenges, opportunities, and successes among your law enforcement peers.

Vehicle Town Hall 

Join this session for an interactive discussion about all thing’s vehicle related. Bring questions, ideas, and information to share with other vehicle program staff to gain feedback you can use to enhance your agency's management of vehicle programs.

Legal Services Town Hall   

Participate in a roundtable discussion on the common legal and legislative issues facing the motor vehicle community. This interactive session will provide attendees with the opportunity to share and learn about unique and emerging trends that cross jurisdictional lines.

This session will provide legal services attendees with the opportunity to fulfill the ethics and professional responsibility components of their Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.

Enhancing Efficiency and Effectiveness of Business Processes   

Some business processes have been in place for decades which, at the time, were effective in accomplishing the objectives. Everyone is doing more with less today and these processes need enhancements to accomplish tasks more efficiently. Learn how jurisdictions have incorporated digital technology to strengthen and streamline business processes while improving the customer experience.    

Impaired Driving   

In this session, you will learn about the most recent impaired driving crash causation trends as well as the quickly evolving cannabis legalization landscape and the increased occurrences of poly-substance abuse impaired driving.

Masking Discussion and Updates

In 2022, mandatory lifetime CDL loss was implemented for certain human trafficking convictions. In addition, jurisdictions continued to work to avoid masking of any violations carrying mandated CDL loss under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. This panel will update attendees on the latest implementation and masking avoidance tips. In addition, participants will have an opportunity to share their own jurisdictional experiences.

Protecting the Customer Transaction and Fighting Digital Fraud   

Ensuring customer transactions are secure in a digital environment is a top MVA priority. Learn about the latest trends in digital fraud and how MVAs are working to protect personal information, prevent criminals from accessing MVA digital information, and how MVAs identify those who do.

Strategies to Improve Motorcycle Safety   

With motorcycle crashes and fatalities rising over the past three years, it is critical to share strategies to address this problem. Motorcyclists drive less than 1% of vehicle miles traveled but account for 14% of fatalities. Join this session where representatives from NHTSA and from jurisdictions will talk about the issues associated with reducing motorcycle crashes.

Process Improvements and Data Accuracy of Uniform Citation     

Uniform electronic citations continue to be the easiest and most accurate way for jurisdictions to transmit and receive traffic law violation information. In this session, participants will hear about the latest efforts to adopt uniform citations and learn why now might be the best time for this change.

Customer Flow Management

Dealing with the massive challenges COVID caused in providing effective customer service, many jurisdictions have greatly expanded options such as appointments, remote check-ins, chatbots, etc. This session will provide attendees the opportunity to learn more about what jurisdictions are doing to improve wait times and to provide quality service while reducing negative customer interactions.

Ignition Interlock Best Practice Listening Session     

Hear about progress the AAMVA Ignition Interlock Working Group has made on updating the 2018 best practices document, with an opportunity for the audience to provide feedback that could influence the content of that still under development document.

Transitioning to Electronic Titling and Electronic Vehicle Records Management   

Learn about the work jurisdictions are doing to eliminate paper and manual processes for managing the lifecycle of vehicle titles and all vehicle records. Hear an update about efforts to analyze and research this transition with the vision for title and vehicle record interoperability as vehicles move both intrastate and interstate.

She will share tools and rituals that will help you and your team not just survive, but thrive in this ever-changing world.
