Response to Active Shooter/Active Threat Events

This session will introduce an alternate methodology to the traditional "Run, Hide, Fight" model for civilian response to an active shooter that emphasizes situational awareness, strategic decision-making, and adaptive responses tailored to individuals' circumstances. Speakers will also discuss the tactical law enforcement response civilians can expect when an active shooter or threat occurs. This session will be presented by FBI National Academy Associates article authors who are veteran law enforcement commanders and currently serve as faculty at the University of Charleston School of Leadership, West Virginia.

Your Roadmap to Electronic Vehicle Titling Deployment

Many resources exist to help jurisdictions develop or enhance electronic vehicle titling processes and procedures so there is no need to wait any longer. AAMVA’s Electronic Vehicle Titling Toolkit provides the knowledge and resources you need to determine what solutions and standards can be adopted or enhanced in your jurisdiction to move forward with electronic vehicle titling processes. This session will walk you through the toolkit, equip you with the knowledge of how to apply it within your jurisdiction, and provide you the ability to determine what you need to do to transform your vehicle program to a fully interoperable electronic vehicle titling and electronic vehicle record management program.
