As an association, AAMVA has bylaws that outline the fundamental rules by which the organization is governed. They state, interpret, and implement the general governance policies of AAMVA including its structure, the rights of participants, and the framework within which the rights are exercised. Our bylaws reflect the organization's culture, mission, and strategic direction and provide guidance to the Board of Directors to achieve our mission. From time to time, bylaws are amended by a vote of the membership.
