AAMVA is neutral on the topic of jurisdictional regulation of vehicles equipped with driving automation system technology. The purpose of this report and its recommendations is to provide a framework for standardized regulations among jurisdictions that choose to enact some form or level of regulation. If a jurisdiction chooses to adopt these recommendations, most can be appropriately applied to different types of vehicles, including, but not
limited to, passenger vehicles, low-speed shuttles, fleetowned vehicles, and commercial vehicles. Download
