Andrew Collier serves as Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). He was appointed to the position by Governor Phil Scott in November 2024.
Prior to joining the DMV, Collier served as Deputy Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Liquor and Lottery from 2021 to 2024. During his tenure, he helped integrate operations between the liquor and lottery divisions, supported the launch of the state’s central gaming vendor, and played a key role in the implementation of sports wagering in Vermont.
Before joining the Department of Liquor and Lottery, Collier spent 11 years with the Vermont State Police. During his law enforcement career, he served as a Drug Recognition Expert and DUI enforcement officer and was involved in training and mentoring new recruits.
Collier currently serves as a Member at Large on the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Region 1 Board of Directors. His community and public service has also included service on the Howard Center Board of Trustees, the Westford Development Review Board, and the Vermont Natural Resources Board.
Collier earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Business and Communication from Westfield State University. He resides in Westford, Vermont.
