Angelique B. McClendon

Angelique has served as General Counsel at the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) since 2015. Prior to serving as General Counsel, she served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia from 2008 to August 2015. She has practiced law for eighteen (18) years and began her career as a prosecutor.

Her team at DDS is responsible for policy promulgation and enforcement, contract review and negotiation, secure ID enforcement and assistance, and other legal matters involving employment, data privacy enforcement, and ADA non-discrimination enforcement. The legal team at DDS is also responsible for the agency’s statutory and regulatory interpretation and implementation. In addition to presenting at numerous events related to driver’s license and data privacy law, Angelique also presents nationally on topics related to driver’s license law and identity management.

A native of Decatur, Georgia, Angelique resides in Conyers, Georgia.
