Brenda Glahn

Brenda Glahn joined the Office of the Illinois Secretary of State in January of 2004, and currently serves as a Senior Legal Advisor. In this position, Brenda provides legal and policy guidance to the Driver Services and Administrative Hearings Departments as well as the Illinois State Archives. Brenda oversees programs such as automatic voter registration, driver’s licenses for persons without lawful status and graduated driver licensing. Brenda drafts legislation on behalf of the Secretary of State, and regularly testifies before the Illinois General Assembly. Prior to joining the Secretary of State, Brenda served for seven years as an Assistant State’s Attorney for the Sangamon County State’s Attorney’s Office in Springfield, Illinois, where she specialized in prosecuting DUI and felony cases involving motor vehicles. Brenda obtained a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from Aurora University and a J.D. from Drake University. Brenda lives in Chatham, Illinois, with her husband Greg and their two dogs and cat. In her free time Brenda loves to travel, both within the U.S. and internationally.
