Ryan Neale

Ryan Neale brings 25 years of dedicated service and leadership to the Government of Prince Edward Island. In 2000, Ryan began his career with a full-time position as an Environmental Health Officer in the Department of Health and Wellness, Chief Public Health Office. He advanced to Senior Environmental Health Officer in 2005, and later to Manager of Environmental Health in 2016. In 2020, Ryan led the Border Services section and Enforcement team through the COVID-19 Pandemic as part of his role with the Chief Public Health Office. In recognition of his work, Ryan was awarded the Premier of Prince Edward Island’s Excellence in Leadership Award in 2022.

In May 2024, Ryan took on a new challenge as the Director of Highway Safety within the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, where he continues to contribute his extensive experience and strategic leadership skills.

Throughout his career, Ryan has worked on demonstrating a commitment to excellence and public service. He has embraced opportunities for growth and development and has been a member of various provincial and national committees and working groups. Ryan continues to dedicate himself to lifelong learning, gaining new experiences, and improving his understanding of public sector operations to be an asset to the government and the communities he serves.
