Trooper Nicholas Cayton was struck and killed by the driver of a commercial vehicle on Route 11 in Canfield, Ohio. Trooper Cayton was assisting a disabled tractor-trailer when his patrol vehicle was struck. Trooper Cayton died at the scene. The driver of the disabled vehicle was transported to the hospital. The causing driver was not injured.
