AAMVA Board Holds Spring 2026 Meeting

The AAMVA Board of Directors held its spring meeting on May 19–20 at the new AAMVA office, covering a full agenda that spanned financial sustainability, technology modernization, and program governance. Technology discussions centered on key initiatives including legacy modernization and SD-WAN migration. On the programs side, the board received updates on e-titling expansion, Mobile Driver License adoption (now live in 22 jurisdictions), strong growth in Driver License Data Verification and approved expansion of the Digital Trust Service, including migrating it to be hosted in-house at AAMVA. The board approved several policy positions, including guidance on VIN data, law enforcement access to vehicle data, and the Safety and Security Best Practices document. The meeting also included updates from partners at NHTSA, FMCSA, and CVSA on shared priorities including CDL integrity, fraud prevention, automated vehicle regulation, and commercial vehicle enforcement.
