AAMVA Improves Transparency on IT Outages

We are pleased to announce that, for better transparency and enhanced information sharing with our members, AAMVA has undertaken the following initiatives. Starting July 15, 2024, AAMVA will post the following outage alerts to our website:
  • Information regarding any ongoing major AAMVA IT outages will be posted here within 20 minutes of the outage start time. Updates on the ongoing outage will also be provided at the same web page, and the notice will be removed once the outage has been resolved.
  • The Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any past major AAMVA IT outages will be posted here within 4 weeks of the outage and will remain on the website for 1 year. 
  • Application Availability statistics are available here for the current and past fiscal years.
