A new edition of AAMVA’s Data Element Dictionary for Traffic Records Systems (D20) is now available. As motor vehicle programs increasingly rely on computerized data systems, the need for consistent and accurate data exchange between jurisdictions and partner organizations continues to grow. The D20 establishes standardized data element definitions, terminology, and coding instructions to promote uniformity across motor vehicle registration and titling, driver and commercial driver licensing, and motor vehicle inspection and insurance programs.
This new edition of the D20 features a minor revision with updates reflecting the current usage of select data element definitions. A complete list of changes can be found in the Release History section at the back of the manual. Learn more here.
