Innovative Driver Programs and Promising Practices
Join us to hear about innovative young driver programs. One jurisdiction will share its experience with the road test waiver program and the complimentary online driver license renewal program. The jurisdiction will share lessons learned, outcomes of the pilot program, staffing impacts and agency culture impacts.
Ignition Interlock Program Best Practices and Roadside Enforcement
Attendees will be provided an overview AAMVA’s updated Ignition Interlock Program Best Practice document with an emphasis on program administration, roadside enforcement, and solving the reciprocity challenge.
Mitigating Fraud and Understanding Requirements for Vehicle Importation
Gain an understanding of the requirements for proper vehicle importation to obtain knowledge of the relationship with the vehicle titling and registration process. Learn about common fraud schemes in this area and discuss useful mitigation tools.

Preventing Distracted Driving from a Systems Perspective
Driver distraction has traditionally been approached as a behavioral issue in road safety. This session will address driver distraction comprehensively, moving beyond behavioral interventions to recognizing the systemic nature with the road traffic system. This session will include field study results, challenges with enforcement, driver distraction prevention technology and more.

After hearing a brief update on the current activities of the AAMVA Law Enforcement Program, attendees will participate in an open discussion on issues impacting law enforcement.
