Artificial Intelligence in the Public Sector

This session provides attendees with an understanding of AI's current applications, policy considerations, and future directions in the public sector, featuring insights from industry leaders and practitioners. Attendees will hear how some states are leveraging AI technologies to prevent online transaction fraud; what policies states are creating and implementing around the use of AI in the public sector; and what are some of the emerging trends, technologies, and potential applications for AI to provide better service and smart governance.

Ignition Interlock Program Best Practices and Roadside Enforcement

After an overview of AAMVA’s updated Ignition Interlock Program Best Practice document, attendees will learn from the program administration and roadside enforcement experience. 

Electronic Vehicle Titling and Vehicle Records Management – Case Studies and Roadmap to the Future

This panel discussion will provide an opportunity to engage with jurisdictions who have developed methods to eliminate paper in portions of the vehicle titling and vehicle record management process. Panelists will share steps they took in their research, why they proceeded with the projects they did, and lessons learned. Attendees will also hear an update about research AAMVA is conducting to develop a roadmap and strategy for interoperable electronic vehicle titling and vehicle records management.

Preventing Distracted Driving from a Systems Perspective

Driver distraction has traditionally been approached as a behavioral issue in road safety. This session will address driver distraction comprehensively, moving beyond behavioral interventions to recognizing the systemic nature with the road traffic system.

Law Enforcement Town Hall

After hearing a brief update on the current activities of the AAMVA Law Enforcement Program, attendees will participate in an open discussion on issues impacting law enforcement. Take advantage of this opportunity to collaborate with your peers and discuss potential solutions to challenges affecting our member agencies.
