Transforming Driver Behavior: From Classroom Solutions to AI Driven Safety
This session highlights Pennsylvania’s education-based Driver Improvement School for high-risk drivers and Honda’s research toward zero traffic fatalities by 2050, including AI-driven driver assistance, human error reduction, and advancements in autonomous vehicles and crash simulation.
Modernizing Driver Services: Online Testing, Automation, and Education
This session will provide an overview of recent program updates, including reduced in person service demand, steady online knowledge test pass rates, and strong adoption of online testing. Presenters will also discuss efforts to evaluate an automated road test program in partnership with a technology vendor and in collaboration with another jurisdiction using the same platform. Additional topics include early discussions around graduated licensing concepts for older drivers, current Driver Education funding considerations, the transition to a smaller novice driver magnet, and highlights of education based driver improvement efforts for high risk drivers.
