On July 23, Paul Steier, AAMVA's Director of Vehicle Programs and Strategic Operations, attended the Multistate Tax Commission Seminar in Salt Lake City, Utah. Paul served on a panel to discuss issues and challenges for motor vehicle agencies in holding residents accountable for paying vehicle title and registration fees when required by the jurisdiction they reside and operate the vehicle in. Serving on the panel with Paul was John Valentine, Commissioner of the Utah State Tax Commission, and Michael Bologna, Senior Tax Correspondent at Bloomberg Industry Group.
