Paul Steier, AAMVA’s Vice President of Law Enforcement Programs & Services, and Jenn Ridolfi, AAMVA’s Program Manager for Vehicle Programs & Services, participated in the 2026 International Association of Transportation Regulators (IATR) annual conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, from September 14-16. This year’s theme was autonomous mobility and focused on the rapid evolution of automated, connected, and electrified transportation systems and the responsibilities of regulators to shape the future. Attendees were able to ride in automated vehicles and network with AV companies and regulators. Paul provided an overview AAMVA’s work in providing regulatory guidance for automated vehicle testing, piloting, and deployment.
