The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Law Enforcement Information Technology section hosted the annual IACP Technology Conference in Charlotte, NC this week. Tim Roufa, AAMVA’s Manager of Identity Management, delivered a presentation to explain mobile driver licenses (mDLs) and provide guidance on how law enforcement technologists can help their agencies embrace mDLs as jurisdictions across North America continue to implement mDL solutions. AAMVA also had several meetings with police technology administrators and vendors from around the world to discuss ways in which the law enforcement technology community can work together to allow officers to fully leverage mDL and create safer, more efficient encounters for both officers and the public.
