Commercial Driver License Testing

AAMVA's Model Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Manual is a comprehensive test preparation resource for drivers interested in obtaining their CDL. The manual is intended to prepare an applicant for the license and testing process, however it is not a substitute for a certified driver training program. The CDL Model Manual has been approved by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). The Model Manual provides uniformity between jurisdictions ensuring every applicant is provided the same information regarding the CDL Knowledge and Skills tests. AAMVA does not develop or provide materials for driver training.
