Charity: Anchorage Cops for Community

Anchorage Cops for Community

The Clothesline ProjectRegion 4 President Lt. Col. Barry Bratt, has selected the charity Anchorage Cops for Community (AC4C) to support at this year’s conference. AC4C is a 501(c)3 organization that seeks to foster positive relationships with law enforcement and inspire community wellbeing through various programs and events. The Clothesline Project, specially organized by AC4C, is one of their most important initiatives. Over the past 10 years, The Clothesline Project has provided clothing and back-to-school essentials at no cost for over 10,000 students in Anchorage. The project hosts an event that provides each child the opportunity to select clothing of their size and style before they visit partner booths that are all there to help prepare them for success for the coming school year. The event also includes a live DJ, free food, and fun games for all to enjoy. The project has grown into a true example of the community coming together to help those in need.

The fundraising activity this year will be a balloon pop raffle. Stop by the AAMVA registration desk during registration hours through noon on Thursday to purchase balloon pop raffle tickets ($30/each) for your chance to win a prize. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit Anchorage Cops for Community (AC4C). Balloons will be popped at Thursday’s banquet.
